Reclaiming your 25% tax
For the first time, IFEAT is pleased to have arranged a service to help participants claim the 25% Swedish tax on their registration fees. In order to claim, you will need your final tax invoice, which will be sent to you by the IFEAT Finance Team 10 days after payment is received for your order.
How to reclaim:
EU-BASED COMPANIES:
If your company is based in the EU, you can reclaim your Swedish VAT via the EU VAT Refund System and should apply in your own country. For more information on this system, please visit https://taxation-customs.ec.europa.eu/taxation/vat/vat-directive/vat-refunds_en
ALL OTHER COMPANIES:
If you are yet to process your Swedish VAT reclaim, you can still do so until the end of this year.
To process your Swedish VAT reclaim, you will need to compile the following items:
-
Completed VAT reclaim form (download the form here)
-
Your final tax invoice(s) from IFEAT
-
A certificate that shows that you are a taxable company. It should be issued by a competent authority and should be no more than 12 months old.
You can find an example of a properly completed VAT reclaim form here.
Once you have compiled these items, please send them by post to:

SWEDEN
During the Conference, we offered a complementary in-person Swedish VAT reclaim service. If you require assistance from our tax advisor Mikael Landin, this service can now be provided remotely at a fee of €100. Please contact [email protected] if you require this service.
PLEASE NOTE:
Once your application has been sent, it can take up to several months for you to receive your funds back. Applications cannot be traced nor progress updates be provided.
